There is only so much that I can do at one go. There’s only 24 hours in a day, if you still haven’t realised.
I don’t even see my friends very much anymore. Have you ever considered how I may want social interaction sometimes?
Yes, I’ll bet you’re familiar with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
Why are you selling me things that satisfy my esteem needs when my physiological, safety and social needs are still not resolved?
God, I really don’t give a fuck about networking and ‘being in the right circles’. I still want to do good things. I still want to make a change. I still want to save the world.
Maybe I’m not jaded yet, that’s why I still see things through rose-tinted glasses. But let me savour this inner peace, for a more minutes, please?
